NEW JERSELAND — A capsuleer piloting a Ragnarok-class titan in local space has submitted what witnesses describe as “the most technically accurate killmail never to have existed,” claiming he “almost” eliminated an enemy titan before being escorted out by a Goonwaffe logistics squad posing as municipal parking enforcement.
The unidentified pilot, who has asked to be identified only as “The Almost Kid,” filed an insurance claim at 0300 EVE time that was denied within seconds by the Triumvirate Claims Adjustment Board.
“The documentation is remarkable,” said adjustment officer Hera Veldt of the Titan Insurance Regulatory Commission. “He even included a timestamp. The timestamp just doesn’t correspond to anything in the combat log.”
Fenris Creations, formerly known as CCP Games, has declined to comment on whether the incident will feature in the upcoming Alliance Tournament broadcast, though a source close to the studio suggested the clip had already been added to the highlight reel under the subtitle “Persistence.”
The Akoman Battlecruiser, meanwhile, launched this week to considerable fanfare and immediate gank-squad adoption. Within 72 hours of the patch going live, over 400 Akoman hulls were destroyed in Pochven, prompting the Blood Raiders to issue a statement clarifying they had not authorized the use of their brand on “blING-fit suicide T1 cruisers.” Fenris Creations declined to comment on the brand confusion.
“We are alignment-agnostic,” said a studio spokesperson, reading from prepared remarks. “Which is a word we are using to mean ‘we knew this would happen and we priced the BPO accordingly.'” The spokesperson then declined to answer follow-up questions about the Akoman’s sensor strength.
In tournament news, Alliance Tournament XXII has narrowed its final bracket to 16 teams following a scheduling error in patch 24.01 that accidentally deleted a third of the competitive standings. Fenris Creations confirmed the issue was “working as intended” and that affected teams had been offered a formal apology in the form of a 30% discount on future tournament entry fees.
The prize pool for this year’s champion currently stands at approximately one jump freighter, a figure organizers described as “disciplining.”
“Real winners don’t need ISK,” said tournament director Marcus Ironclad, who later requested to remain anonymous after being reminded that the runner-up also receives one jump freighter.
When reached for additional comment, Fenris Creations directed inquiries to its official news feed, which has not been updated since 2019.
