POCHVEN – YC128-10-22
A splinter faction of the Blood Raider Covenant has constructed a shrine to Fenris Creations in Pochven, declaring the developer “the true architects of our reality” and demanding that all capsuleers convert or face “eternal debugging.”
The cult, calling themselves the “Children of the Patch,” has occupied a derelict Triglavian structure in the system of Niarja and converted it into a temple. Inside, followers gather daily to read patch notes aloud by candlelight and offer tributes of PLEX to a crude golden statue of what appears to be the Fenris Creations logo.
“We have seen the signs,” said the cult’s leader, who identified himself only as Brother Update. “Every market fluctuation, every server tick, every unexpected downtime – these are not bugs. These are messages. Fenris Creations speaks to us through the API, and we are finally listening.”
Other Blood Raiders have distanced themselves from the group. A spokesperson for the Covenant called the cult “deeply embarrassing” and noted that “worshipping the people who balance your ships is generally considered poor form.”
Triglavian forces in the region have reportedly declined to attack the shrine, with one Triglavian commander stating that “the Clades find this… amusing.”
The cult’s manifesto, distributed on the holonet, claims that Fenris Creations created the universe in “seven sprints” and that the Jovians were “early access players who rage-quit.” It also insists that the upcoming patch will introduce “ascension” for loyal believers, though FC has not confirmed this.
“Submit bug reports as prayers,” said Brother Update. “Trust in the roadmap.”
The Blood Raider Navigation officer who was promoted after the Pochven incident has reportedly joined the cult.
